Michael Rakestraw

Michael Rakestraw began their work experience as a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens in January 2006. In this role, they assisted the pharmacist in dispensing medications, collected and recorded patient information for prescriptions and billing purposes, and processed prescriptions. Michael then joined Genesis Automation Inc. in May 2011 as a Mechanical Engineer (Design) & Project Manager. During their time at Genesis Automation, they designed stations and machines using cost-effective solutions within the project scope, created 3D CAD models using Solidworks, and developed detailed part and assembly drawings while selecting appropriate purchase components.

Michael Rakestraw obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northern Illinois University from 2008 to 2011.
