Alberto Rodríguez Cañada

Alberto Rodríguez Cañada has a diverse work experience in the field of research and innovation. Alberto started their career as an Undergraduate Researcher at CECAD Cologne in 2019, where they conducted their Bachelor's Thesis at Dr. Mafalda Escobar's lab. During this time, they gained experience in various biochemical techniques such as PCR, Western Blot, Immunoblotting, and Cells Transformation.

After completing their undergraduate degree, Alberto joined GENESIS Biomed in 2020 as a Consultant trainee. Alberto then progressed to become a Consultant in 2021 and later worked as a Senior Consultant from January to June 2023. Throughout their time at GENESIS Biomed, they were involved in providing expert advice and guidance in the field.

In addition to their role at GENESIS Biomed, Alberto also held positions at Xartec Salut and BioExpert Network in 2023. At Xartec Salut, they worked as a Research & Innovation Promoter, and at BioExpert Network, they assumed the role of an Expert.

Alberto Rodríguez Cañada began their education at the International Baccalaureate, where they obtained a Diploma in International Baccalaureate in Sciences in June 2015. Alberto then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology at the Universitat de Barcelona from 2015 to 2019. In 2019, they participated in the Exchange Programme Erasmus + at the University of Cologne to further their studies.

In 2019, Alberto enrolled in CESIF and obtained a Master's degree in Health Biotechnology, specializing in the technology and management of technology-based companies, which they completed in 2020.

Throughout their educational journey, Alberto also obtained various certifications to enhance their skills. In December 2019, they completed an Advanced Microsoft Office Course and a Business English Course at CESIF. In 2018, they earned a B2.2 English Language Course certificate from the Universitat de Barcelona. Additionally, they acquired certifications outside of their formal education, including Financial Analysis for Project Management from La Salle BCN in May 2023, Early Health Technology Assessment Training from EIT Health in October 2022, Private Equity and Venture Capital from Universitá Bocconi | Coursera in March 2021, and Valoración de Empresas en fases tempranas (startups) from Colegio de Economistas de Madrid in February 2021. Lastly, Alberto demonstrated their proficiency in English by obtaining an English C1 Level certificate through the Erasmus + OLS Language Assessment by the European Commission in July 2019.
