Michael S Brown

Michael S Brown is a Licensed Professional Counselor with extensive experience in mental health and counseling services. Currently serving at Genesis Counseling Center since January 2023 as an EMDR Certified Trauma Therapist, Michael has also been with Eden Counseling and Consultation since April 2013, where Michael received Virginia licensure. Previous roles include Case Manager at Union Mission Ministries, where support was provided to homeless individuals, and Counselor at Recovery for Life, focusing on couples therapy. Michael has developed addiction recovery programs at Catholic Charities and instructed business management and career development courses at Centura College. Michael's educational background includes a Master's of Science in Education and Counseling from Old Dominion University, along with a Bachelor's degree in History Education from the same institution.
