Sepi Mahooti M.D.

Sepi Mahooti, MD is currently serving as the Vice President and Medical Director of Laboratory Operations at Genesis Healthcare Partners since October 2021. Prior to this, they worked at the University of California, San Diego - School of Medicine from 2009 to 2021, holding positions of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor. Sepi also served as the Director of Cytolgy and Fine Needle Aspiration Service at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs from 2010 to 2021.

Sepi Mahooti, MD completed their education and training in the field of Pathology. From 2004 to 2008, they pursued a Residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at The Ohio State University. Following this, they went on to complete a Fellowship in Cytopathology at Yale University School of Medicine from 2009 to 2010.

After completing their education, Dr. Mahooti obtained additional certifications. In December 2010, they became Board Certified in Cytopathology by The American Board of Pathology (ABPath). Sepi also obtained the Combined Anatomic Pathology & Clinical Pathology Certification (AP/CP) from the same institution in the same month and year.
