Alexis van Venrooy

Alexis van Venrooy, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the field of chemistry research and teaching. From 2017 to 2021, they served as a Ph.D. Candidate at Rice University, working on projects related to organic synthesis and molecular motors. They also took on the role of Lab Safety Manager and Graduate Teaching Assistant during their time at Rice University. In 2017, Alexis briefly worked as an Environmental Technician at the NC Department of Environmental Quality. Prior to that, they gained research experience as an Organic Chemistry Student Researcher and Mineralogy Student Researcher at Bryn Mawr College. Overall, Alexis has a strong background in chemistry research, with a focus on organic synthesis and spectroscopic monitoring.

Alexis van Venrooy, Ph.D., obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in Geology from Bryn Mawr College in the years 2012 to 2016. Following this, they pursued further education at Rice University from 2017 to 2021, where they completed a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Chemistry.
