Genesis Women's Shelter & Support
Laura Haas is a dedicated mental health professional with extensive experience in counseling and therapy. Currently serving as a Counselor at Genesis Women's Shelter & Support since July 2021, Laura has previously held positions as a Group Therapist at Integrated Psychotherapeutic Services and a Mental Health Counselor at Find Your Healthy, PLLC. Additional experience includes providing mental health services at Jewish Family Service of Greater Dallas and offering Animal Assisted therapy at Paws for Reflection Ranch. Laura's educational background includes a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas and two additional degrees in Geology from the University of Miami and the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. Laura is supervised by Kelley Doss, LPC-S, CEDS, and has experience with both in-person and telehealth counseling methods.

The mission of Genesis Women's Shelter is to provide safety, shelter and support for women and children who have experienced domestic violence, and to raise awareness regarding its cause, prevalence and impact.
