Michelle McKechnie

Principal Process Engineer at Genesis

Michelle McKechnie has diverse work experience in the field of process engineering. Michelle started their career as a Student Process Engineer at GSK in 1999 and then worked as a Process Engineer at Genesis Oil and Gas Consultants from 2001 to 2004. Michelle'smain responsibilities in this role included high-level screening, steady-state flow assurance, debottlenecking studies, and valve sizing.

Following this, Michelle joined Shell as a Process Engineer for a year, where they focused on international FEED projects involving equipment redesign and cost reduction. Michelle then worked at Talisman Energy as a Senior Process Engineer from 2005 to 2012, providing operations support to the Mid North Sea Platforms. Michelle'skey responsibilities included reviewing work packs, attending HAZOPs, writing operating procedures, and managing third-party studies.

In 2013, Michelle returned to Genesis Oil and Gas Consultants, this time as a Principal Process Engineer. Michelle'sstudies in this role included developing flare system models, preparing BAT assessments, and creating ECE registers.

Throughout their career, Michelle has demonstrated their expertise in various areas of process engineering and has gained extensive experience working on different types of projects.

Michelle McKechnie earned a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, completing their studies between 1996 and 2001.
