Jean M Jen, CPA, CA, MPAcc

Jean M Jen, CPA, CA, MPAcc has extensive experience in the accounting and finance sectors, having held various roles since 2008. In 2013, they began working for KPMG Canada as an Assistant Manager/Senior Consultant in Advisory Services and a Senior Accountant in Audit & Assurance. During this time, they provided professional audit engagement services for US and Canadian publicly-traded companies and privately held cross-border companies, specializing in Biotechnology/Pharmaceuticals and consumer markets. In the same year, they also began working for the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) as an Examination (UFE) Marker.

In 2018, Jean began working for Douglas College as an Accounting Instructor in the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration. Jean M also joined Anandia as Vice President of Finance and Director of Finance. In 2021, they were appointed Chief Financial Officer of GeneTether Inc., and also began working as an Interim Chief Financial Officer of Naqi Logix Inc. In 2022, they were appointed Board Member of the Accounting Standards Board (AcSB). Additionally, they have provided senior level finance consulting services as CFO/VP Finance to hyper-growth clients in the biotechnology and technology sectors.

Jean M Jen, CPA, CA, MPAcc has obtained a Master of Professional Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan and studied Business Strategy & Derivatives at Università Bocconi. Additionally, Jean is a Chartered Accountant certified by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
