Laura Santini

Laura Santini currently serves as the Senior Communications and Marketing Manager at the Genetics Society of America since September 2023. Prior to this role, Laura was Digital Marketing Manager at the American Society of Hematology from June 2015 to September 2023. Laura's earlier experience includes a Research Intern position at ODG - Opportunities Development Group, focusing on energy and environmental issues in Puerto Rico, and an Office Clerk and Assistant role at the Puerto Rico Senate, where responsibilities included assisting with constituent casework and administrative tasks. Additionally, Laura interned at the Puerto Rico Federal Affairs Administration and the United States District Court, gaining experience in federal proposals and court administration. Laura holds a Master of Science in Defense and Strategic Studies from Missouri State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia, along with training in basic proposal writing and fundraising.
