Hilmi Humeid

Hilmi Humeid has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and responsibilities. From 2021 to the present, they have been working at GENETWORx as a Laboratory Manager. Prior to that, from 2015 to 2018, they served as a Research Assistant at Virginia Commonwealth University's College of Engineering, where they completed their Master's thesis and coursework in Biomedical Engineering. Hilmi has also worked as a Senior Scientist Shift Supervisor at NEXT Bio-Research Services, LLC. d/b/a NEXT Molecular Analytics from 2020 to 2021. In addition to their academic and research experience, Hilmi also has experience in the field of defense as a Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear Defense Specialist in the US Army Reserves since 2018. Hilmi has also held positions at PPD as a Scientist from 2018 to 2020 and at Matrix and Mechanobiology Laboratory as a Student Mentor in 2017. Hilmi started their professional career with an internship at King Fahd Hospital in 2011.

Hilmi Humeid has a strong educational background with degrees in both Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering. Hilmi completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Biology, with a focus on General Biology, from the same university from 2010 to 2015. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained certifications in JavaScript Essential Training and Programming Foundations: Fundamentals from LinkedIn in October 2020. These certifications demonstrate their commitment to continuous learning and enhancing their technical skills.
