Senior Process Development Engineer at Genevant Sciences

Mohammadreza Kazemian's work experience begins with their role as a Research Assistant at Amirkabir University of Technology, where they conducted research on cardiovascular diseases and published a novel approach to prevent in-stent restenosis. Mohammadreza then co-founded Herald Studio, where they focused on improving web design and marketing in Winnipeg. In 2016, they joined the University of Manitoba as a Laboratory Technician and later became a Research Assistant, working on projects related to antibacterial coatings and antibiofilm iron-oxide nanoparticles. In 2019, they gained experience in retail as a Seasonal Sales Associate at Quark Group and later worked as a Salesperson at Reitmans Canada Ltée/Ltd. From 2020 to 2022, they worked at Precision NanoSystems Inc. as a Research Associate, where they designed and formulated lipid and polymeric nanoparticle formulations and analyzed their physiochemical characteristics. Currently, they are employed at Genevant Sciences, holding the title of Senior Process Development Engineer.

Mohammadreza Kazemian completed their Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering (Biomaterials) from the University of Manitoba, studying from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering (Biomaterials) from Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including Lean Six Sigma Foundations from LinkedIn in December 2021, Project Management Principles and Practices from Coursera in September 2020, and WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) from the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety in January 2020.
