Maria Camila Castro

Maria Camila Castro is a dedicated medical student at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine since August 2021, with diverse experience in healthcare and customer service. Alongside academic pursuits, Maria has been a bilingual customer service representative at GEICO since August 2020 and serves as a research intern at Moffitt Cancer Center since August 2018. Volunteer efforts include supporting GiGi's Playhouse Tampa since September 2018 and participating as a student volunteer at Tampa General Hospital, where training includes NICU, 3F surgery floor, and Neuro ICU. Previous experience in the service industry includes a position as a waitress at Genghis Grill since February 2016. Maria holds a Bachelor's degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of South Florida, earned between 2016 and 2019, and completed an International Baccalaureate program from 2013 to 2015.
