Alyssa P. has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Alyssa started their career at M2 Renewables, Inc. in 2011, working on a team to design and test a device for dewatering waste streams. Alyssa then joined SAIC as an Engineering Intern, where they created a ship classification database using ISAR imagery and developed MATLAB GUIs for ship silhouette production. Alyssa also worked at Harvey Mudd College as a Grader in 2011.
In 2012, Alyssa joined Zodiac Aerospace as a Systems Test Engineer, responsible for qualification testing, failure analysis, and component modifications in aircraft water and waste systems. Alyssa later became the System Test Rig Development Lead, overseeing the design, fabrication, and operation of test rigs for Boeing, Airbus, and Embraer aircraft.
In 2016, Alyssa joined Palomar Technologies as a System Engineer, performing first article evaluations, analyzing data, and collaborating with design engineering to improve products.
From 2020 to 2023, Alyssa worked at Philips as a System Verification Engineer. Alyssa managed the verification activities for multiple capnography products, absorbed knowledge from a closing facility, and collaborated with cross-functional teams for knowledge transfer.
Most recently, Alyssa joined GenMark Diagnostics as a Systems Engineer II in 2023.
Alyssa P. attended Harvey Mudd College from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including CSEP from INCOSE in July 2023, Fundamentals of Systems Engineering from HONOURCODE INC in December 2014, and Principles of Test & Evaluation from HONOURCODE INC in December 2014.
