Jon Faiz Kayyem

Jon Faiz Kayyem has extensive experience in the life sciences industry. Jon Faiz currently serves as a Member of the Board at InhibRx since April 2018 and has been a Consultant and Board Member in Life Sciences since March 2018. Previously, Jon worked at GenMark Diagnostics where they held multiple roles, including SVP R&D, Chief Scientific Officer, and Chief Executive Officer, from 2009 to the present. In these positions, they led a team of over 50 professionals, developed innovative molecular diagnostics platforms and assays, and played a key role in innovation and intellectual property. Before joining GenMark, Jon was a Managing Partner at Efficacy Capital from 2004 to 2009, where they provided clinical and scientific due diligence for portfolio companies and actively engaged with the management of major positions.

Jon Faiz Kayyem completed their education in Molecular Biology with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from Caltech, where they attended from 1986 to 1992. Prior to that, they acquired their MS/BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Yale University, where they studied from 1981 to 1985.
