Karen Menge

Karen Menge is an accomplished expert in assay development and molecular diagnostics, currently serving as Senior Director of Assay Development at GenMark Diagnostics since March 2024. With a robust background in both operational and scientific leadership roles, Karen has extensive experience from various companies, including serving as Principal at Karen L Menge PhD Consulting and held executive positions at ChromaCode, Inc. and Nanōmix. Karen has contributed significantly to the development of innovative diagnostics, managed clinical affairs and regulatory compliance in veterinary pharmaceuticals, and led global health initiatives. Holding a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a B.S. in Biochemistry with highest honors from the University of California, Davis, Karen’s expertise encompasses research and development, clinical trials, and product commercialization in both the biotechnology and medical device sectors.
