Laura Hyland

Laura Hyland has eight years of experience in the medical field. Laura began their career in 2008 as a Bioengineering Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland. Laura then moved to Xen Biofluidx in 2013 as an Assay Development Scientist. In 2014, they joined Theranos as an Assay Development Scientist. In 2016, they became an Assay Development Manager at Ventana Medical Systems. In 2020, they moved to ArcherDX, Inc. as a Manager, IVD Assay Development and then to Invitae as a Director, IVD Assay Development. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Foresight Diagnostics Inc. as a Director, IVD Assay Development.

Laura Hyland obtained their B.S. in Chemistry and Biology from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2008. Laura then went on to pursue their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Maryland - A. James Clark School of Engineering, which they completed in 2012. In 2019, they obtained a Certified SAFe 4 Agilist certification from the Scaled Agile Framework Certification Training.
