Karl Young

Karl Young has extensive work experience in various engineering roles. Karl worked as a Senior Engineer and Process Engineer II at GenMark Diagnostics from 2017 until the present. Prior to that, they worked at Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics as a Process Engineer from 2016 to 2017 and as a Process Development Engineer from 2011 to 2016. At GE, they were a Direct Material Productivity Engineer from 2007 to 2008, and at 3M, they worked as a Machine Operator in 2005. In their roles, Karl focused on developing and sustaining manufacturing processes, troubleshooting process challenges, implementing solutions for continuous improvement, and developing new manufacturing processes. Karl also utilized SolidWorks for layout and machine design.

Karl Young holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota Duluth. In 2016, they obtained the SolidWorks Mechanical Design Professional certification from Dassault Systèmes. Karl also possesses the SolidWorks Mechanical Design Associate certification, although the month and year of obtaining this certification are not specified.
