Sahil Kanawade

Sahil Kanawade has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Sahil worked as a Process Engineer at GenMark Diagnostics, starting in 2021. Prior to that, Sahil was a Biochemical Engineer at Siemens Healthineers from 2021 to 2021. In this role, they assisted in manufacturing operations for immunoassay reagents and optimized laboratory instrumentation following quality controls.

From 2019 to 2021, Sahil worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University. Their thesis topic focused on permeability loss in soil due to iron precipitation. Sahil analyzed spectroscopy and microscopy data and developed a transport model using kinetic data from sand column experiments.

Sahil also worked as a Graduate Research Aide at the ASU Photovoltaic Reliability Laboratory from 2018 to 2019. Sahil assisted with pre-characterization, characterization, analysis, and quality control for Department of Energy and NREL projects studying the reliability of solar PV modules.

Additionally, Sahil gained experience as a Teaching Assistant at the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University in 2019 and as a Process Engineering Apprentice at ULTRA PLUS LUBES PRIVATE LIMITED in 2017. Sahil was involved in process hazard analysis, engineering documentation, and breakdown maintenance.

In 2016, Sahil worked as a Process Engineering Intern at ARBUDA AGROCHEMICALS PVT. LTD., where they implemented experimental methods to analyze active ingredients in pesticides. Sahil also analyzed pesticide formulations using various tools.

Furthermore, Sahil had a brief internship as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at GHARDA CHEMICALS LIMITED in 2016. Sahil conducted safety risk assessments and analyzed equipment breakdowns for a manufacturing unit.

Sahil Kanawade pursued their education in the field of Chemical Engineering. Sahil completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from Datta Meghe College of Engineering CIDCO Sector III Airoli Navi Mumbai 400 708, graduating in the year 2017. Later, Sahil enrolled at Arizona State University, where they earned a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering in 2021.
