Won-Chul Lee

Won-Chul Lee has over 14 years of experience in the field of computational biology and informatics. Won-Chul is currently working at GENOME INSIGHT INC. as the Chief Informatics Officer, a position they have held since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked at GENOME INSIGHT INC. as the Head of Computational Biology from September 2022 to April 2023. From 2020 to 2022, they were a Senior Computational Biologist at Pfizer. Won-Chul'sprevious experiences include being a Postdoctoral Fellow at MD Anderson Cancer Center from 2016 to 2020, a Senior Researcher at Macrogen Inc. from 2013 to 2016, and a Researcher at Macrogen Inc. from 2010 to 2011. Won-Chul also worked as a Researcher at DIATECH Korea Co., Ltd. from 2008 to 2010.

Won-Chul Lee has a strong educational background in the field of bioinformatics and genomics. Won-Chul holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Protein Bioinformatics from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology. Won-Chul further pursued their academic career by completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Cancer Genomics at Seoul National University. Prior to their higher education, Won-Chul Lee obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Science from Sungkyunkwan University.

In addition to their formal education, Won-Chul Lee has also obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. These certifications include "Python for Data Visualization" from LinkedIn (obtained in April 2022), "Data Manipulation with dplyr" from DataCamp (obtained in May 2020), "Intermediate Python for Data Science" from DataCamp (obtained in September 2019), "Intermediate R" from DataCamp (obtained in September 2019), and "M101P: MongoDB for Developers" from MongoDB, Inc. (obtained in September 2015).
