Clayton Wheeler has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Clayton started their career as a Software Developer at RR Donnelley in 2000, where they worked on web-based digital asset management and desktop publishing automation software. Clayton also led multiple development projects, including the adoption of JMS messaging and the implementation of new web interfaces. In 2006, Clayton joined Windermere Real Estate as a System Administrator, where they took charge of the production web site and improved its availability, performance, and security through infrastructure and application-level work. In 2012, they worked as a Summer of Code programmer at Google. Clayton then pursued their academic interests and became a Student Researcher at the Advanced Computer Architecture Lab at the University of Michigan in 2013. In this role, they researched novel approaches to finding security bugs in x86 programs and developed data collection, correlation, and analysis tools. Since 2017, Clayton has been a Senior Software Engineer at Genomenon, Inc. These positions demonstrate Clayton's expertise in software development, system administration, and research.
Clayton Wheeler attended Seattle Central College from 2006 to 2011, where they studied Biology, General. Clayton went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at the University of Michigan, where they studied from 2011 to 2016.
