Andreia Rogério

Andreia Rogério is a Senior Applied Machine Learning Engineer at Genomics England since January 2022, focusing on genomic large language models for cancer multimodal research and rare disease diagnostics, as well as developing end-to-end sequence-to-embedding pipelines on AWS using HuggingFace models. Prior experience includes roles as a Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer and Associate Data Scientist at Datatonic, where Andreia contributed to end-to-end machine learning solutions on Google Cloud Platform and participated in a graduate rotation program across various data analytics disciplines. Earlier research positions were held at King's College London, UCL, and ITQB-UNL, involving cancer bioinformatics and protein structure prediction. Andreia holds a Master's degree in Engineering Systems and Computer Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Biological/Biosystems Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, along with international study experience at Utrecht University.
