Nadezda Volkova

Nadezda Volkova is a Senior Genomic Data Scientist at Genomics England since May 2020, with a focus on strategic planning, coaching, and improving operational practices. Previously, Nadezda served as a Genomic Data Scientist, involved in validating bioinformatics pipelines and enhancing cancer variant calling processes. Nadezda's background includes a PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of Cambridge and experience as a PhD student at EMBL-EBI, researching computational cancer genomics. Earlier roles included statistical analysis support at HelmholtzZentrum München and tool development at EMBL. Nadezda also holds a Master's degree in Mathematics in Biosciences from the Technical University of Munich and a Specialist degree in Mathematics from Lomonosov Moscow State University.
