Dave Freysinger

Dave Freysinger is the current CEO of GenOn Energy. Dave has over 20 years of experience in the energy industry, including strategy and direction, acquisitions and business development, improvement initiatives, and operations.

Dave started their career in the energy industry as a Senior Vice President of Plant Operations for GenOn Energy/Reliant Energy. Dave then became the Chief Operating Officer of Reliant Energy Europe. In 2012, Dave became the CEO of Quintana Energy Partners/Chase Power Development. After two years, they left to start their own consulting firm, Freysinger Consulting. In January 2015, Dave rejoined GenOn Energy as their CEO.

Dave Freysinger earned their Masters of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business in finance and accounting. Dave also holds a Bachelor of Arts from Dickinson College in economics and mathematics.
