Computational Biologist and Bioinformatician at GenPAx

Arthur Poivet has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Arthur is currently employed as a Computational Biologist and Bioinformatician at GENPAX AG since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked at SCARLET Solar from October 2018 to December 2021 as a Deployment Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for building and testing sun-tracking systems, designing a back-end database, and developing machine learning algorithms for data analysis and optimization.

Before joining SCARLET Solar, Arthur worked at Imperial College London in multiple roles as a Postgraduate Researcher. Arthur conducted research projects on different topics such as identifying prognosis signature genes for neuroblastoma, developing phenotype models for behavioral genomics, and creating a database of missense variants with phenotypic predictions. These projects involved conducting research, analyzing genomic data, and collaborating with supervisors.

Prior to their role at Imperial College London, Arthur also gained experience at SCARLET Solar as a Controls/Automation Engineer in 2017 and as a Project Engineer in 2016. In these positions, they were involved in conceptualizing and building sun-tracking mechanisms for solar installations and designing electronic control systems using various technologies such as PLCs, touchscreen interfaces, arduinos, sensors, and actuators.

Furthermore, Arthur has also worked as a Cancer Research Fundraiser at HOME Fundraising Ltd in 2015, a Customer Analyst at Seed Alpha in 2014, and an Intern at CybStores in 2012. In these roles, they gained experience in fundraising, customer analysis, and organizational tasks.

Throughout their career, Arthur Poivet has demonstrated proficiency in various technical skills including computational biology, bioinformatics, database design, machine learning, next-generation sequencing, and control system design.

Arthur Poivet completed their education with a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Bioinformatics and Theoretical Systems Biology from Imperial College London from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree at the University of Bristol, where they earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Engineering Mathematics from 2014 to 2018. Arthur'searlier education includes attending The King's School, Canterbury from 2011 to 2013, and the International High-School of Sevres in France from 2010 to 2011. The specific degree and field of study during their time at The King's School and the International High-School of Sevres are not mentioned.
