Gareth Linsmith is a seasoned bioinformatician with extensive experience in genomic research and bioinformatics infrastructure development. Currently serving as a Senior Bioinformatician at GENPAX AG since November 2021, Gareth has previously held key roles at the Earlham Institute, where expertise was applied in genome assembly for the Darwin Tree of Life project, and at Aphea.Bio, where foundational computational infrastructure was established. Additional experience includes contributing to the development of SNP genotyping arrays at Fondazione Edmund Mach, database management at SSE plc, and earlier roles in software testing and programming. Gareth holds a PhD in Bioinformatics from Ghent University and an MSc in Applied Bioinformatics from Cranfield University.
