Sheshagiri Rao

Sheshagiri Rao is a seasoned software engineering manager who has built exceptional distributed engineering teams and helped scale operations heavy businesses. Sheshagiri has also delivered cutting-edge products and worked with partners to drive business objectives. Rao began their career as a graduate assistant programmer at the Illinois Institute of Technology where they developed applications using Java and J2EE technologies. Sheshagiri then went on to work as a solution engineer at Nokia Siemens Networks before joining Discover Financial Services as a senior software engineering manager in May 2013. Rao left Discover in December 2020 to become an advisor at GenRocket.

Sheshagiri Rao has a MS in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology and a B.E in Telecommunications from Visvesvaraya Technological University. Sheshagiri also has a certification from the MIT Sloan School of Management in Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy.
