Jong Yoo has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Jong currently holds the position of Business Development Manager at GenScript ProBio starting from April 2023. Prior to this, they were a part of the Commercial Leadership Development Program at the same company from January 2023 to April 2023.
Before joining GenScript ProBio, Jong Yoo worked as a Graduate Researcher at Purdue University from August 2020 to December 2022. Jong also gained experience as an Intern at LanzaTech from June 2022 to August 2022, and at Samsung Biologics from June 2021 to August 2021.
Jong Yoo's research experience includes working as a Research Assistant at Seoul National University from April 2020 to August 2020, and at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from January 2020 to March 2020. Jong also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Institute for basic science (IBS) from May 2017 to August 2017.
Additionally, Jong Yoo has served in the Republic of Korea Air Force as an Aviation logistics/transportation specialist from August 2014 to August 2016. Overall, Jong Yoo has gained valuable experience in both research and industry settings, with a focus on business development and leadership.
Jong Yoo completed their Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Purdue University between 2020 and 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from Taylor University, which they attended from 2016 to 2019. Jong Yoo also graduated from Heritage Christian School, where they received a High School Diploma. In addition to their academic qualifications, they have obtained a certification in SalesOS from ZoomInfo in January 2023.
