Roman Safonov

Roman Safonov has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Roman is currently the Director of Business Development at GenScript ProBio since August 2022. Prior to this, they worked at BiomX Inc as the Director of Drug Product from November 2019 to April 2021, and then as the Head of Drug Product from April 2021 to August 2022. During their time at BiomX Inc, they successfully developed oral, topical, and inhalation products up to FDA submission and established novel approaches for stabilization and delivery of bacteriophage-based products. Roman also collaborated with clinical KOL's, academia, CDMO's, and consultants. Before joining BiomX Inc, they served as the Director of R&D at Vital Technologies from October 2018 to November 2019, where they focused on developing complex food supplements and establishing quality systems. Prior to that, they worked as the Executive Director of CMC and R&D at Nutrinia from September 2016 to September 2018. Roman also has a significant work history at Teva Pharmaceuticals, where they held various roles including R&D Pharma group manager, Associate Director, R&D Project Coordinator, and R&D Pharma Researcher from October 2007 to September 2016. Additionally, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at Tel Aviv University from October 2005 to August 2007.

Roman Safonov's education history includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences from Tel Aviv University, which they obtained between the years 2002 and 2005. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Biochemistry from the same university, completing it from 2005 to 2007.
