Carlos Acero Caballero is an experienced Electronic Engineering Coordinator at Genser Power, overseeing engineering activities in control, instrumentation, and communication within electrical generation projects since October 2019. Previously, Carlos served as an Industrial Automation Senior Engineer at ABB from October 2009 to October 2019, where responsibilities included designing automation solutions and managing process automation projects. Prior experience also includes a role as Technical Support Engineer at Ecopetrol S.A., focusing on control systems for refinery plants. Carlos holds a Master's Degree in Computer Vision and Robotics from Heriot-Watt University, Universitat de Girona, and Université de Bourgogne, along with an Engineer's Degree in Electronics Engineering from Universidad Industrial de Santander.

Genser Power started operations in 2005 as a company dedicated in providing distributed generation solutions. It offers custom engineering turn-key energy alternatives to the industrial, oil & gas and mining sectors. Services include design, development, operation and maintenance of self generation and cogeneration energy facilities. Genser’s business is divided into small (1-10 MW) and medium scale (10-50 MW) generation. Small scale operations consist of self generation and cogeneration projects using reciprocating and rotating equipment. Medium scale operations involve generation power plants supplying oil and gas companies, large industrial consumers and local power grids. The technologies applied to each project are determined by the real energy needs of each case.
