Philippe Phaneuf

Philippe serves as Gensler’s Chief Operating Officer and a member of the firm’s Board of Directors. A champion of Gensler’s “One-Firm Firm” culture, he is passionate about empowering the firm’s talent to flourish, grow, and innovate as we scale and diversify our practice to drive impact globally. Philippe first joined Gensler to serve as its General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.

Prior to Gensler, Philippe was a partner at Dechert LLP where he advised Fortune 100 companies, private equity firms, and multinationals on complex transactions and corporate strategy.

Deeply committed to social justice, Philippe has served on the Board of Equality California, co-authored a brief to the Supreme Court of California in opposition to Proposition 8 (California’s same-sex marriage ban), and contributed to numerous other engagements impacting his local community.

Philippe graduated from Harvard College, studied at Berkeley Law, and received his J.D. from the University of Toronto.
