Marc Chardon

Marc Chardon advises the firm in the area of software.

Prior to joining Genstar, Marc served as President and CEO of Blackbaud, Inc., the leading software and services supplier to non-profit organizations around the world. Marc has 30 years of international operational and business development experience in computers and software. As CFO of Microsoft’s Information Worker Business, he led the drive to quadruple their served market through a balanced blend of organic development and acquisitions. As CEO of first Digital Equipment France and then Microsoft France, he delivered growth in subsidiary revenue and profit while reengineering business processes to thrive in the midst of on-going regulatory and market challenges. Earlier in his career at Digital, he developed and managed channel partner programs, led the strategy development team for the software business, and ran the design-win team for the international microcomponents business.
