Benjamin Hilldore

Lead Research Engineer at Gentex

Benjamin Hilldore has extensive work experience in the engineering and research field. Benjamin began their career at Industrial Control as an Automations Lab Intern, where they designed and implemented proof of concept applications, developed an application to interface machine vision and robot technology, and assisted in teaching machine vision classes. Benjamin then moved on to Hope College as an Undergraduate Research Assistant and later as a Teaching Assistant. Benjamin later joined the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Benjamin then transitioned to Lockheed Martin as a Software Engineer before eventually joining Gentex Corporation. At Gentex Corporation, Benjamin held various roles including Research Software Engineer, Senior Research Engineer, and currently serves as the Lead Research Engineer.

Benjamin Hilldore completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Physics from Hope College in the years 2000 to 2004. Benjamin then pursued their Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which they obtained from 2004 to 2007.
