Chad Westerman

Chad Westerman possesses over 15 years of extensive experience in systems engineering and product development within the automotive and technology sectors. Currently serving as Director of Global Systems Engineering at Gentherm since September 2018, Chad oversees the implementation of R&D innovations and has a proven track record of developing products that adhere to ASPICE and ISO 26262 standards. Prior roles include Principal System Engineer at A123 Systems, where Chad led product development for battery management systems and ensured compliance with functional safety standards, and roles at Autoliv, Robert Bosch, Creative Technology Services, and TRW Automotive, emphasizing validation, hardware design, and engineering processes. Chad holds a Master of Science in Mechatronic Systems Engineering and dual Bachelor's degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Lawrence Technological University.
