Mylie Umphrey

Mylie Umphrey has a strong background in engineering, with a focus on electronics testing and system engineering. Mylie has worked at Gentherm since 2017, starting as an Engineering Co-Op and then progressing to roles as a System Engineer and currently as a Lead Test Engineer. In these positions, Mylie has been responsible for leading technical operations and system engineers, managing workload, and supporting recruitment and retention efforts. Mylie has also implemented process improvements, created work instructions, conducted time studies, and trained the entire team. Prior to their work at Gentherm, Mylie worked as a server at Mercury Burger Bar from 2016 to 2018.

Mylie Umphrey's education history starts in 2014 when they attended Jefferson State Community College. Mylie completed an Associate of Science degree in Pre-Engineering from 2014 to 2016. Following this, they transferred to Wayne State University in 2016 and studied Industrial Engineering until 2019. Mylie then pursued a Master's degree in Engineering/Industrial Management at Wayne State University from 2020 to 2024.
