James Paton

James Paton is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in information technology and enterprise solutions. Currently serving as Chief Information Officer and Director of Enterprise Solutions at Genus PLC since May 2021, James focuses on adopting next-generation technologies and enhancing business return through integrated systems. Prior roles at National Oilwell Varco, encompassing CIO, Director of Enterprise Architecture, and other leadership positions, involved the management of IT strategies, ERP implementations, and business-critical systems across global operations. James also held a Global IT Manager position at Andergauge Ltd, overseeing IT support for a network of offices in multiple countries, and started as an ICT Administrator at Fugro Survey. James holds a BSc in Business Computing from Robert Gordon University.
