Michael Shepherd

Michael Shepherd, CFA, has a diverse work experience in legal and investments roles. Michael started as an Associate at Rogers & Wells in 1996, later transitioning to Hogan & Hartson. In 2003, they became the Vice President and General Counsel at The Chotin Group before moving to First Data Corporation as Counsel for Mergers and Acquisitions. From 2007 onwards, Michael held positions at Genworth, including Investments Counsel, Director of Private Placements, and Senior Investments Attorney. Michael became Vice President of Investments General Counsel before ultimately becoming the Senior Vice President of Legal and Head of Government Relations.

Michael Shepherd, CFA, obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History from Stanford University in 1992. Michael went on to earn a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from the University of Chicago Law School in 1996. Additionally, they hold the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder certification from the CFA Institute.
