Lauren Izzo

VP, Programs at GenYouth

Lauren joined the GENYOUth team in June of 2015. Lauren provides general support for the Development team and works closely with the CEO. As Project Manager of FUTP60 NFL FLAG-In-Schools, she ensures that the program meets the goals and expectations of the NFL and the National Dairy Council. Lauren acts as liaison to SHAPE America and their trainers, the NFL, and supports the State and Regional Dairy Councils as well as the NFL Club teams. Prior to her arrival at GENYOUth, Lauren was a pre-school teacher in New York City before she left to help her father run their family business, Modern Food Center, a Super Market with a 50 year legacy in Belmont’s Little Italy. While there, Lauren worked closely with a number of different vendors, customers and organizations including but not limited to the Belmont Business Improvement District, Fordham University, and the Foodbank for NYC. As her involvement with the Foodbank grew, overseeing the Cookshop program by ensuring that all 50+ Bronx area schools received the items they needed for their lessons, so too did her interest in child health and wellness.

Lauren graduated from Dickinson College in 2006 with a B.A. in American Studies, and is a proud and happy new Mom.
