Areefa started their work experience as a Content Writing Intern for the NGO Council for Transforming India - CTI Organization in May 2019. Areefa had a Research Intern role at Bennett University in May-June 2020, where they worked on industrial projects related to Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning. From December 2018 to February 2020, Areefa worked as a Campus Avenger - Content Writing Intern at stuMagz - A Student Discovery Platform. As part of the stuMagz SREC Avengers team, they contributed to publishing featured articles in the SREC page and worked as a Campus Reporter, where they interviewed college students and wrote articles. Areefa then worked as a Software Development and Research Intern at Indo Nordic Innovation Acceleration Clusters from January 2021 to January 2022. From March to August 2022, they worked as a Technical Intern - IET Developer at PwC India. Areefa then worked as a Software Engineer at S&P Global from August 2022 to May 2023. Currently, they hold the role of Executive Member, AI/ML Engineer at GradStellar and will start working as an Associate Data Scientist at Genzeon from May 2023.

Areefa attended SR Engineering College from 2018 to 2022 and obtained a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science. Areefa has also earned several certifications, including basic Java and SQL through HackerRank, Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals and Azure Fundamentals through Microsoft, Cybersecurity Essentials and Introduction to Cybersecurity through Cisco, and Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python) through Coursera. Areefa has also earned other certifications, including Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA) and FUNDAMENTALS OF DEEP LEARNING FOR COMPUTER VISION through Cisco Networking Academy and NVIDIA, respectively.
