Terence Liu has worked in the software development industry since 2002. Terence began their career as a Software Developer (co-op) at Enterasys Networks in 2002, followed by a Firmware QA/OSD Developer (co-op) at Genesis Microchip in the same year. In 2003, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo and as a Senior Software Development Engineer, Software Testing Team Leader, Intermediate Software Development Engineer, and Field Application Engineer at Silicon Optix. In 2008, they joined Advanced Micro Devices as a Software Development Engineer. In 2010, they were appointed Manager, Software Applications Development at Geo Semiconductor, Inc. where they were responsible for outlining software development environment from scratch, driving product development using Agile methodology, improving regression testing and product delivery efficiencies, deploying and keeping track of various software packages, coordinating with business units, defining and delivering new features, developing software applications, creating software apps running on Apple iOS platform, researching and developing video processing algorithm software models, preparing software user manuals and demos, and conducting quarterly software training.

Terence Liu attended the University of Waterloo from 1998 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering.
