Ankita Thakur

Ankita Thakur has been working in the field of data science since 2012. Ankita began their career as a Business Analyst at Mu Sigma in 2012, where they developed models to identify control stores for a given set of test stores, predicted the impact of promotional events on test stores' sales, and analyzed sales data to identify drivers of drop or jump in sales. In 2013, they moved to HSBC as an Analyst, where they developed time series forecasting models for asset & liability management, and performed ad hoc analysis on the premier mortgage portfolio. In 2014, they joined CenturyLink Cognilytics as a Data Scientist Consultant, where they built models for loss ratio prediction and automated the project to be used as a research tool. In 2015, they joined OYO Rooms as a Data Scientist (Manager), where they built and implemented hotel recommendation engine, dynamic pricing model, churn, cancellation prediction and overbooking models, and built a hotel Image scoring & classification tool using Convolutional Neural Networks. In 2018, they co-founded GeoIQ.

Ankita Thakur obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) from Cummins College of Engineering between 2007 and 2011, specializing in Electrical, Electronic and Communications Engineering Technology/Technician.
