Fahimeh Farahnakian

Fahimeh Farahnakian currently serves as a Senior Scientist at the Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) since August 2023. Concurrently, Fahimeh holds the position of Adjunct Professor and has progressed through various roles, including Senior Researcher, Doctoral Researcher, and Visiting Researcher at the University of Turku since April 2011. Previous experiences include a Visiting Researcher position at Kingston University from January 2019 to October 2020, as well as working as a PoDoCo Researcher at Quva Oy from October 2016 to October 2017, and a Research Visitor at the University of Birmingham in late 2015. Fahimeh earned a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Turku between 2012 and 2016 and holds a Master's Degree in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics from the Iran University of Science and Technology.
