Joonas Wasiljeff is a researcher at the Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) since January 2021, with prior experience as a doctoral researcher at the University of Helsinki from December 2016 to December 2020. Joonas served as a laboratory leader for the Finnish Defence Forces for a brief period in 2016 and was a teaching assistant at the University of Helsinki from 2010 to 2015, instructing various undergraduate courses in Geology and Geochemistry. Additional experience includes roles as a summer trainee at GTK and Stonerol Oy, and a research assistant at the Finnish Environment Institute. Joonas Wasiljeff holds a PhD from the University of Helsinki, awarded in October 2022, a Master’s Degree in Environmental Geology and Hydrogeology, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, all obtained from the University of Helsinki.
