Riitta Korhonen

Riitta Korhonen has an extensive career in geology, serving as a Geologist emerita at the Geological Survey of Finland since March 2011 and previously holding the position of Senior Scientist from 1963 to 2011. Throughout their tenure, Riitta Korhonen focused on peat investigations and conducted balneological peat research. Educationally, Riitta Korhonen earned a Licentiate of Philosophy degree in Geology/Earth Science from the University of Helsinki between 1972 and 1981 and was recognized as a Special Researcher at the Geological Survey of Finland from 1963 to 2011.
