Anita Monk-Ryan

Anita Monk-Ryan has extensive experience in finance and accounting roles. Anita is currently the Director of Finance at the Geological Society of America since 2021. Prior to this, they worked at UCAR - The University Corporation for Atmospheric Research for over 27 years. During their time there, they held various positions including Controller and Financial Accounting Manager. In these roles, they led a team, managed daily accounting activities, implemented new systems, and improved workflow and processing times. Anita also brought several accounting processes electronic, contributing to time and cost savings for the organization. Their work experience spans from 1994 to present.

Anita Monk-Ryan earned their Bachelor's Degree in Finance, General from Metropolitan State University of Denver, from 1984 to 1989. In addition, they obtained a certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants in November 1992.
