Steve Xu has a long and varied work experience. In 2007, they were a Summer Associate at Katzenbach Partners LLC. In 2010, they became a Medical Student at Harvard Medical School. In 2011, they were a Venture Fellow at DFJ Mercury. In 2012, they founded OrthoIntrinsics Inc. In 2016, they became a Committee Member at Advancing Innovation in Dermatology, Inc. In 2017, they became an Assistant Professor in Dermatology, Biomedical Engineering, and Pediatrics (Dermatology) at Northwestern University - The Feinberg School of Medicine. In 2018, they became Co-Founder of Sonica Health, Medical Director of Querrey Simpson Institute for Bioelectronics @ Northwestern University, and Chief Executive Officer of Sibel Health. In 2019, they became Head of the Medical Advisory Board at Geologie.

Steve Xu obtained a BS in Engineering from Rice University between 2005 and 2009. Steve then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Health Policy and Finance from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) between 2009 and 2010. Afterwards, they obtained an MD in Medicine from Harvard University between 2010 and 2014. Steve also holds a certification from the State Medical Licensing Board of Illinois.
