Marco Scotti is a Senior Researcher at GEOMAR Helmholtz-Zentrum für Ozeanforschung Kiel since May 2014. Prior to this role, Marco served as Principal Investigator at The Microsoft Research - University of Trento Centre for Computational and Systems Biology from January 2010 to April 2014, focusing on the application of network theory to molecular nutrition and ecology as well as developing computational models for Systems Biology. Marco's career began as a Post-doctoral Fellow at the Center for Network Science at Central European University from November 2008 to December 2009, where exploration of links between ecological and social network analysis occurred through quantitative and interdisciplinary methods. Marco holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Ecology from Università degli Studi di Parma (2005-2008) and a Master Degree in Environmental Sciences with a focus on Ecology from the same university (1997-2004).
