Sherene Mitchell

Sherene Mitchell serves as the Manager of Sustainability & Compliance at George Brown College, a position held since September 2024, where responsibilities include developing a comprehensive Sustainability Plan in line with the institution’s Vision 2030 and establishing partnerships for a college-wide speaker series on sustainability initiatives. Previously, Sherene worked as the Sustainability Lead at UNIQLO from May 2022 to September 2024, focusing on sustainability campaigns and managing waste compliance. Prior to that role, Sherene was an English Second Language Teacher at YBM from August 2020 to March 2022 and held positions at Waste Reduction Group Inc. from May 2018 to March 2020, including Operations Support and Waste Audit Field Technician. Sherene holds a Bachelor's degree in Environment and Resource Studies from the University of Waterloo, completed in June 2019, during which involvement included clubs related to language exchange and environmental studies.
