Sergio Godoy has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of clinical research. Sergio began their career at Boston Scientific in 2006 as a Clinical Research Associate/Lead CRA, where they gained experience in monitoring activities in Latin America and clinical site management for post-marketing studies conducted in Europe. Sergio also had vendor oversight responsibilities.
In 2013, Sergio joined Portola Pharmaceuticals as a Clinical Trial Liaison, providing recruitment and retention consulting services for a Phase III clinical study. Sergio continued to work in a similar role at Bestbio Consulting, where they were involved in a phase III Janssen clinical study.
From 2014 to 2016, Sergio worked at Boston Scientific as a Medical Device CRA, focusing on Colombia and Argentina. Sergio then joined Cerevast Medical, Inc. as a Medical Monitor for a short period in 2018.
In 2016, Sergio joined LATINABA - Blanchard & Asociados as a Recruitment and Retention Specialist in clinical trials. Sergio later transitioned into the role of a Medical Device Clinical Research Associate and Project/Line Manager.
Sergio's next role was at CSSi, where they worked as a Local Enrollment Specialist on a Janssen clinical study. Sergio also briefly served as a mentor at WISE Women in STEM Entrepreneurship in 2020.
In 2019, Sergio became a Clinical Research Associate at TRIUM Clinical Consulting NV, where they worked until 2021.
Sergio'smost recent role is at George Clinical, where they have held various positions since 2016. Sergio started as a LATAM Regional Scientific Lead for a phase III clinical trial from GSK on CKD and anemia. Sergio then transitioned to the role of Associate Manager, Scientific Leadership, supporting the implementation of global scientific services. Currently, they work as an Associate Director Scientific Services, overseeing scientific leadership for renal trials and operational oversight of a COVID-19 trial.
Sergio Godoy has a diverse education history. Sergio attended Harvard Medical School in 2020-2021, where they pursued a degree in Effective Writing for Health Care. Prior to that, they participated in the HMS Global Clinical Scholars Research Training Program from 2019-2020. Sergio obtained their Cardiologist degree from the University of Buenos Aires in 1999-2000, after completing their Medical Doctor degree in Medicine at UBA from 1988-1993. In addition to their formal education, Sergio has obtained several certifications, including Introduction to Translational Science from the University of Rochester, Negociación 4.0 from Universidad Austral, and Pre-Market Safety Reporting Certificate from WMDO - World Medical Device Organization. Sergio also holds a Programa IN (Innovation Program Certification) from IAE Business School and a MAINTAINING A MINDFUL LIFE certification from Monash University.
