Dato’ Paduka (Dr.) Ir. Hj. Keizrul Bin Abdullah

Dato’ Paduka (Dr.) Ir. Hj. Keizrul Bin Abdullah is a Registered Professional Engineer. He graduated from the University of Malaya in 1975, obtaining a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Civil Engineering. He has been involved in the field of water and water resources engineering for the past 41 years. Upon graduation in 1975, he joined the Department of Irrigation and Drainage Malaysia and over an illustrious career, rose to become the Director General in November 1997 until his retirement from public service in December 2007. He oversaw the development of a Flood Mitigation Master Plan for Kuala Lumpur and managed the SMART Tunnel Project from conception to commissioning. Presently he is a member of the High-level Experts and Leaders Panel (HELP) on Water and Disasters, reporting to the United Nations Secretary General’s Special Envoy on Disaster Risk Reduction and Water. He is an alumni of the Senior Executive Programme at the London Business School (1997), and the Advanced Management Programme at the Harvard Business School (2002). Dato’ Paduka (Dr.) Ir. Hj. Keizrul Bin Abdullah was appointed to the Board on 8 December 2009. He is a member of the Audit Committee, Nominating Committee and Remuneration Committee.
