Amy Adams

Executive Director, Innovation District Anchored By George Mason's Scitech Campus at George Mason University

Amy Adams is an accomplished professional currently serving as the Executive Director of the Institute for Biohealth Innovation at George Mason University, a position held since July 2002. With a strong focus on advancing biohealth research and innovation, Adams leads initiatives involving over 200 faculty and thousands of students across diverse academic disciplines, while also cultivating partnerships with industry, healthcare, government, and academic entities. Previously, Adams held the role of Associate Director at the same institute, supporting a collaborative research community, and served as the Director of the Aspiring Scientists Summer Internship Program. Early research efforts included significant contributions in the Center for Applied Proteomics and Molecular Medicine, utilizing advanced technologies for cancer signaling pathways. Recently, Adams has been appointed as a Board Member for the Association of University Research Parks (AURP). Adams holds both an M.S. in Chemistry and a B.S. in Biology from George Mason University.
